Vovy finds your oversized images, converts them to modern formats, sizes them for real screens, and fixes the layout jumps they cause.
Optimize the images on my site so pages load faster
How it works
- Find the oversized images: Vovy runs PageSpeed and lists images flagged under "Properly size images" and "Serve images in next-gen formats", with the bytes you can save.
- Convert to WebP or AVIF: It converts heavy PNGs and JPEGs to WebP, a newer format that is often 25 to 50 percent smaller at the same quality.
- Add sizes and lazy loading: Cursor adds width and height to every image so the page stops jumping, and loading="lazy" to images below the fold.
- Use your host's image optimizer: For Next.js it switches to next/image, which Vercel resizes on the fly. Vovy explains the Image Optimization usage limits on your plan.
- Show the before and after: You get a table of each image with old and new size, and a fresh PageSpeed score.

FAQ
Will my images look blurry?
No. Vovy uses a quality setting around 80, which looks identical to most eyes, and keeps 2x versions for sharp retina screens.
Should I lazy-load the hero image?
No. Your top image should load right away, ideally preloaded. Lazy loading it makes LCP worse.
Does Vercel charge for image optimization?
Each plan includes a monthly allowance. High-traffic image-heavy sites can go over, so Vovy checks your usage page.
