Find test users and fake records, back them up, delete them in the right order, and launch with a clean database.
Delete all my test users and fake orders before launch, but keep the real ones
How it works
- Find the test data: Vovy searches for obvious test rows: emails like test@ or @example.com, names like asdf, and records from before your beta.
- Show you the list: A table shows every row Vovy plans to delete, grouped by table, so you can uncheck anything that's real.
- Back up first: Vovy dumps the database to a file before deleting anything, so a mistake can be undone.
- Delete in the right order: Vovy asks, then deletes child rows like orders before parent rows like users, and removes test accounts from Authentication too.
- Confirm it's clean: A card shows row counts before and after, and confirms your real accounts are untouched.
What you provide
- Your Supabase project
- Which accounts are real
What you get
- A clean database for launch
- A backup from before
- Before and after row counts
FAQ
Can I undo it?
Yes, from the backup Vovy makes first. Without a backup, deleted rows are gone on the Free plan.
Why did a delete fail with a foreign key error?
Another table still points at that row, like orders pointing at a user. Deleting children first fixes it.
Does deleting from a table remove the login?
No. Supabase logins live in Authentication, separate from your tables, so Vovy removes test accounts in both places.
