Set up an external TestFlight group, pass Beta App Review, and share a public link so anyone on your waitlist can install your beta.
Make a public TestFlight link I can send to my waitlist
How it works
- Create an external testing group: In App Store Connect, Vovy opens TestFlight and adds a new group under External Testing. External means people outside your team.
- Write the test information: Vovy fills in What to Test, a feedback email and a beta description. Apple's reviewers read this, so vague notes slow approval.
- Add demo login details: If your app needs sign-in, Vovy adds a demo account in the review info. Missing logins are a common reason beta review gets rejected.
- Submit for Beta App Review: Vovy adds your build to the group and submits it. This sends your app to Apple for review, so it confirms first.
- Turn on the public link: After approval, Vovy enables Public Link with a tester limit you choose and hands you the URL on a card, ready to paste into email.
What you provide
- An app already in TestFlight
- A feedback email address
- A demo account if your app has login
What you get
- An external tester group
- A public TestFlight link
- Beta review notes that pass
FAQ
How long is Beta App Review?
Often within a day for the first build. Later builds of the same version usually skip full review.
How many testers can I have?
Up to 10,000 external testers per app. You can cap the public link lower if you want a smaller beta.
Can testers leave feedback?
Yes. Testers can take a screenshot in the app to send feedback, which shows up in App Store Connect under TestFlight.
