Create a 1024 pixel app icon, an Android adaptive icon and a splash screen from your logo, and wire them into app.json the right way.
Replace the default Expo icon and splash screen with my logo
How it works
- Export a 1024 pixel icon: Vovy exports your logo from Figma as a 1024 by 1024 PNG with a solid background, since Apple rejects icons with transparency.
- Make the Android adaptive icon: Android crops icons into circles and squircles. Vovy exports a foreground layer with padding so your logo never gets clipped.
- Set up the splash screen: Vovy configures the expo-splash-screen plugin in app.json with your logo and a background color, including a dark mode version.
- Rebuild to see it: Icons and splash screens are native, so Expo Go will not show them. Vovy runs a new development or preview build.
- Check it on a home screen: Vovy installs the build and screenshots your icon next to other apps. A card shows light, dark and Android shapes side by side.

FAQ
Why does my icon still show the Expo logo?
Expo Go always shows its own icon. You only see yours in a development, preview or store build.
Do I need every icon size?
No. Give Expo one 1024px image and it generates the sizes each platform needs at build time.
Why did Apple reject my icon?
The App Store icon cannot have transparency or rounded corners baked in. Apple rounds it for you.
