Set up a URL scheme, iOS Universal Links and Android App Links so links to your domain open the right screen inside your app.
When someone taps a link to my site on their phone, open my app instead
How it works
- Add a URL scheme: Vovy sets scheme in app.json, like myapp, so myapp://invite/123 opens your app. Expo Router maps that path to a screen automatically.
- Add associated domains for iOS: Vovy adds applinks:yourdomain.com under ios.associatedDomains and turns on Associated Domains for your App ID in the Apple Developer portal.
- Host the verification files: Vovy creates apple-app-site-association and assetlinks.json and deploys them to /.well-known/ on your site, with the right content type and no redirects.
- Add Android intent filters: Vovy adds intentFilters with autoVerify in app.json, so Android checks your assetlinks.json and opens links in the app without asking.
- Build and test real links: Vovy makes a new build, taps test links from Notes and Messages, and shows a table of which links opened the app and which fell back to the web.
What you provide

FAQ
Why does my link open Safari instead of the app?
Usually the apple-app-site-association file is missing, redirected or cached. iOS also ignores links you type directly into Safari's address bar.
Does this work in Expo Go?
Only the basic scheme style links. Universal Links need your own build with associated domains.
Will it break my website?
No. You add two small files under /.well-known/. People without the app still land on your site.
