Vovy tags the current commit, drafts release notes from merged pull requests in plain English, and publishes a GitHub Release.
Make a v1.0 release on GitHub with notes on what changed
How it works
- Pick the version number: Vovy suggests the next version, like v1.0.0. The three numbers mean major, minor and patch changes.
- Draft a new release: Vovy opens Releases, Draft a new release, creates the tag on main, and clicks Generate release notes to list merged PRs.
- Rewrite for humans: Vovy turns the PR titles into a short customer-friendly summary grouped into New, Improved and Fixed.
- Publish the release: Vovy publishes it. Anyone watching the repo is notified, so it waits for your OK.
- Share the link: A card shows the release link and the notes ready to paste into a changelog, email or X post.

FAQ
What is a tag?
A permanent label on one commit, like v1.0.0, so you can always find or roll back to that exact version.
Does a release deploy my app?
Not by itself. Some setups deploy on new tags through GitHub Actions; most vibe-coded apps deploy on every push to main instead.
Can I edit notes after publishing?
Yes. Click Edit on the release anytime.
