Register a Google Play developer account, pay the $25 one-time fee, and finish identity verification so you can publish Android apps.
Create my Google Play Console account so I can publish on Android
How it works
- Choose personal or organization: Vovy compares the two on a card. Personal accounts must run a 14-day closed test before going live. Organization accounts skip it but need a D-U-N-S number.
- Sign in to Play Console: Vovy opens play.google.com/console. You sign in with the Google account you want to own the apps long term.
- Fill in developer details: Vovy enters your developer name, contact email and phone, and legal address. The developer name is public on your store page.
- Pay the registration fee: Google charges $25 once. Vovy stops at payment so you approve it.
- Verify your identity: Vovy guides you through uploading ID and verifying your phone and email. A card lists what is pending and what comes next.
What you provide

FAQ
Is the fee yearly like Apple?
No. Google charges $25 once, for as long as you keep the account.
Why does Google need my ID?
Google verifies every developer's identity to cut down on scams. Verification can take a few days.
Can I use a work Google Workspace account?
Yes, and it is often better, since the account owns your apps and is hard to move later.
