Create a Vercel account, import your GitHub repo, set the build settings and get a live vercel.app link that redeploys on every push.
Set up Vercel for this project and get it live from my GitHub repo
How it works
- Open Vercel and sign in with GitHub: Vovy opens vercel.com in your browser. You click Continue with GitHub yourself, so Vercel can see your repos. Vovy never touches your password.
- Import your repo as a new project: Vovy clicks Add New, then Project, and picks your repo from the Import Git Repository list. If it's missing, it walks you through granting Vercel access to that repo on GitHub.
- Check the framework and build settings: Vercel usually detects Vite or Next.js by itself. Vovy confirms the Build Command and Output Directory match your package.json, so the first build doesn't fail on a guess.
- Add your environment variables: Environment variables are the secret settings your app reads, like your Supabase URL. Vovy copies them from your local .env file into Vercel's Environment Variables box before deploying.
- Deploy to production: Vovy asks, then clicks Deploy and narrates the build log line by line. If it fails, it reads the error and explains it before trying again.
- Hand you the live link: A card shows your vercel.app URL, how auto-deploys work (every push to main goes live), and where to find this project in your dashboard later.

FAQ
Is Vercel free?
The Hobby plan is free but limited to personal, non-commercial projects. Once you're charging customers, Vercel expects you on Pro, which is $20 per user per month.
My app was built in Lovable or Bolt. Can I still use Vercel?
Yes, as long as the code is on GitHub. Most builders have a GitHub sync button, and Vercel deploys from there.
Will changing my code break the live site?
Every push to your main branch triggers a new deploy. If a build fails, Vercel keeps serving the last working version, so visitors don't see a broken site.
