Route your AI calls through OpenRouter to use hundreds of models with one key and one bill, with fallbacks if a provider goes down.
Switch my app to OpenRouter so I can swap AI models without new code
How it works
- Create an OpenRouter key: Vovy opens openrouter.ai, you sign in, and it adds credits with your approval and creates an API key with an optional credit limit.
- Swap the base URL: OpenRouter speaks the OpenAI API format. Vovy asks Claude Code to point your OpenAI SDK at https://openrouter.ai/api/v1 with the new key.
- Pick model names: Vovy shows the model list and sets names like provider/model in one config value, so switching later is a one-line change.
- Add a fallback model: Claude Code adds a backup model list, so if one provider is down or rate limited, requests go to the next one.
- Check the activity log: Vovy sends test calls and opens OpenRouter's Activity page, showing a table of each call's model, tokens and cost.
What you provide
- Your app's AI code
- A card for OpenRouter credits
What you get
- One key for many models
- A one-line model switch
- Automatic fallback on outages

Is my data safe?

Can I bring my own OpenAI key?
Yes, OpenRouter supports adding your own provider keys, so you use your own rate limits and billing.
