Vovy sets a readable Terminal theme and font size, and adds a prompt that shows your folder and current git branch so you always know where you are.
Make my Terminal look nicer and show which git branch I'm on
How it works
- Pick a readable profile: Vovy opens Terminal, Settings, Profiles and applies a high-contrast theme with a larger font, then sets it as the default.
- Back up your shell config: Vovy copies ~/.zshrc to a backup before touching it, so any change can be undone in one step.
- Add a git-aware prompt: Vovy adds a short prompt that shows the folder name and branch. The branch tells you which version of your code you are editing.
- Add helpful shortcuts: Vovy turns on command history search and adds a couple of safe aliases, like one to jump to your projects folder.
- Show before and after: Vovy opens a fresh window in a project and shows a card explaining each part of your new prompt.

FAQ
Should I switch to Warp or iTerm2?
They are good, but the built-in Terminal is fine for vibe coding. Vovy can set up either if you prefer.
Do I need Oh My Zsh?
No. It is popular but heavy. A few lines in ~/.zshrc give you the git branch without slowing new windows.
Will Cursor's terminal pick this up?
Yes. Cursor and VS Code terminals load the same ~/.zshrc, so the prompt appears there too.
