Use Supabase Cron to run SQL or call an Edge Function on a schedule, like daily cleanups or weekly digest emails.
Make my app send a digest email every Monday at 9am with Supabase Cron
How it works
- Turn on the Cron integration: Vovy opens Integrations, then Cron, in your Supabase project and enables it. A cron job is a task that runs on a timer.
- Decide what runs: Simple jobs, like deleting old rows, run as SQL. Jobs that send email call an Edge Function that uses Resend.
- Set the schedule: Vovy writes the cron schedule, like 0 9 * * 1 for Mondays at 9, and explains it runs in UTC, so it converts to your timezone.
- Create the job: Vovy asks, then creates the job. If it sends email to real users, Vovy triggers one test run to your address first.
- Check the run history: Vovy opens the job's run history and shows a card with the last run, whether it succeeded, and the next scheduled time.

FAQ
What powers Supabase Cron?
It uses pg_cron, a Postgres extension, so jobs run inside your database with no extra server.
Does it work on the Free plan?
Yes, but free projects pause after a week with no activity, and paused projects don't run jobs.
Why didn't my job run at 9am?
Cron times are in UTC. 9am UTC is early morning in New York, so Vovy converts it for you.
