Vovy creates a GA4 property, adds the Google tag to your site, turns on the right settings, and proves visits show up in Realtime and DebugView.
Add Google Analytics to my site and check it's working
How it works
- Create a GA4 property: Vovy opens analytics.google.com, you sign in, and it creates a property and a Web data stream for your domain, then copies the G- measurement ID.
- Add the Google tag: Cursor adds the gtag.js snippet to your site's head once, using your measurement ID from an env variable.
- Turn on SPA page tracking: In the data stream's Enhanced measurement, it confirms page changes based on browser history are counted, so app-style routes register as pageviews.
- Extend data retention: It changes Data retention from the default 2 months to 14 months under Admin, so year-over-year reports don't come up empty.
- Watch your visit arrive: Vovy visits your site and shows you the hit in Realtime and in Admin, Data display, DebugView, with a card of what each report means.

FAQ
Is GA4 free?
Yes. Standard GA4 is free. Only the enterprise version, GA4 360, is paid.
Why don't I see data in reports yet?
Standard reports can take up to a day or two to fill in. Realtime and DebugView show hits within seconds.
Do I need a cookie banner?
If you have visitors in the EU or UK, yes, GA4 sets cookies and needs consent there. Vovy can add a banner with Consent Mode.
