Vovy turns on Stripe's Smart Retries and failed payment emails, and shows you which customers are past due and how much revenue is at risk.
Some subscriptions are failing to renew, set up automatic retries
How it works
- See who's past due: Vovy filters subscriptions by Past due in Stripe and shows a table of customers, amounts and the reason each card was declined.
- Turn on Smart Retries: It opens Settings, Billing, Revenue recovery and turns on Smart Retries, which retries cards at the times they're most likely to go through.
- Turn on customer emails: Vovy enables Stripe's emails for failed payments and expiring cards, with a link where customers update their card.
- Decide what happens after retries: It sets the subscription to cancel or mark unpaid once retries run out, and checks your app locks access on that status.
- Show revenue at risk: A card totals past due revenue and tracks what gets recovered over the next few weeks.

FAQ
How much revenue does this usually save?
Failed cards are a big share of churn for subscription apps, and retries plus reminder emails recover a good portion. Results vary by customer base.
Will customers lose access right away?
Not unless you set it. Most apps keep access during the retry window, then lock it.
Can I write my own emails instead?
Yes. Listen for invoice.payment_failed in your webhook and send your own message with Resend.
