Vovy verifies your domain in Resend, adds the DNS records, stores the API key server side, and sends your first real welcome email from your app.
Set up Resend so my app sends emails from hello@mydomain.com
How it works
- Add your domain in Resend: Vovy opens resend.com, you sign in, and it adds your domain under Domains. Resend then shows the DNS records it needs.
- Add the DNS records: It adds the DKIM, SPF and MX records at your DNS provider. These prove the email really comes from you, which keeps it out of spam.
- Store the API key server side: Vovy creates an API key with sending access only and adds it to Vercel as RESEND_API_KEY, never in front-end code.
- Write the welcome email: Cursor adds a server route that sends a simple branded welcome email when someone signs up, from an address like hello@yourdomain.com.
- Send a real test: Vovy signs up with your email and shows the delivered message in Resend's Emails log, with its delivered status.

FAQ
Is Resend free?
The free plan sends 3,000 emails a month with a limit of 100 a day, on one domain. A launch day can hit the daily cap, so watch it.
Will this break my existing Gmail or Outlook email?
No. Resend's records go on a subdomain like send.yourdomain.com, so your normal inbox MX records stay untouched.
How long does domain verification take?
Often minutes, sometimes a few hours while DNS spreads. Vovy rechecks until Resend shows Verified.
