Vovy creates your Mailchimp audience, adds a signup form to your site that sends emails straight into it, and tests the double opt-in flow.
Add a newsletter signup to my site that goes into Mailchimp
How it works
- Set up your audience: Vovy opens Mailchimp, you sign in, and it sets up your audience, Mailchimp's word for your list, with your sender address and business address.
- Turn on double opt-in: It turns on double opt-in, a confirm-your-email step, so your list stays clean and your emails avoid spam folders.
- Add the form to your site: Cursor adds an email field and a small server route that adds the subscriber through Mailchimp's API. The API key goes in Vercel, not the browser.
- Deploy the form: Vovy deploys the change after you approve and checks the form works on your live site.
- Test the full flow: It signs up with your email, clicks the confirm link, and shows you the new subscriber in your audience.

FAQ
Is Mailchimp still free?
The free plan now covers only 250 contacts and 500 sends a month, and no automations. Growing lists will need a paid plan or another tool.
Why do I need a mailing address?
Anti-spam laws like CAN-SPAM require a physical address in marketing emails. A PO box or virtual address works.
Why not just use Mailchimp's embed code?
You can. A custom form matches your design and lets you add tracking, but the embed is fine for a quick start.
