Vovy builds consistent UTM links for each channel, keeps them in a Google Sheet, and shows you where to see the results in your analytics.
Make me UTM links for my launch posts so I know what's working
How it works
- List where you'll post: Vovy asks where the launch goes, like Product Hunt, X, LinkedIn, a newsletter and Reddit, and names each one consistently.
- Explain UTM tags: UTM tags are labels on the end of a link, like utm_source=linkedin, that tell analytics where a visitor came from.
- Build the links in a sheet: It creates a Google Sheet with source, medium, campaign and the finished link, all lowercase so LinkedIn and linkedin don't split your data.
- Test one link: Vovy opens a link and confirms the visit shows the right source in GA4 Realtime or PostHog.
- Show where to read results: You get a card pointing to GA4's Traffic acquisition report and a PostHog breakdown by UTM source, with your campaign filtered.

FAQ
Do UTM links hurt SEO?
No, as long as you use them for posts and ads, not your own internal links. Google handles the parameters fine.
Should I shorten the links?
It's fine for looks, but some shorteners hurt trust and email deliverability. Many platforms show a tidy preview anyway.
Why does my traffic still say direct?
Some apps strip link tags or open links in in-app browsers. Tagged links still catch most of it.
